At ReadHowYouWant.com, we do not believe that large print is just one format.
We currently publish out-of-copyright books, and we publish each title in four different formats:
- EasyRead for people with normal vision
- EasyRead Comfort for people who don’t yet need large print, but find normal type tiring
- EasyRead Large for people with reduced vision
- EasyRead Large Bold for people with retinal problems who need to read high contrast text
- EasyRead Super Large for people who requires large and dense format
Each different EasyRead edition has been optimized to improve both word recognition and ease of eye tracking by adjusting word and line spacing. Line spacing has been increased to stop the eye moving to adjacent lines, but is still close enough for the line above and below to be used as an eye tracking guide. End-of-line hyphenation has been minimized.
EasyRead books are printed on demand in the selected format, ensuring that they will always be available at an affordable price.
Growing List of Titles
ReadHowYouWant.com offers a large and growing list of out-of-copyright titles. The list of several thousand editions includes all the out-of-copyright books listed by the BBC in their survey of best-selling books between 2000 and 2005, all the out-of-copyright books listed in the Australian Broadcasting Commission publication “1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die”, and will include most of the out-of-copyright books currently being published. We are also going to add all the books by the authors whose books are in the above lists, so that readers can explore complete work of their favorite authors.
We will then be creating subject libraries which will include — fiction, philosophy, history, religion, biography, poetry, drama, children’s classics, and travel. If you have a favorite out-of-copyright book, please email us at books@ReadHowYouWant.com and suggest the title and/or the author.

Our first offering is large print books in a format designed by the Royal National Institute for the Blind.

- EasyRead print books
We will be adding several hundred of the most famous out-of-copyright books in our new EasyRead formats over the next few weeks. EasyRead formats are significantly easier to read than some formats currently being used. Eye-tracking as well as word-recognition issues have been addressed. Word and line spacing have been selected for ease of reading, and not production cost. Hyphenation at the end of lines has been minimized. Archaic spelling and punctuation have been modernized where this does not change the context.
